What Happens In Rome

When in Rome...right! Thats what I thought to :)

So I went to Rome over Valentines Day weekend and it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! The whole Camp A family decided we were going to go there since we had a three day weekend but some things didn't go the way as planned...let me tell you the story...

Once apon a time in a land far far way...there was a little place known as the Happy Days Hostel in a magical called Rome. Well 11 new friends decided they were going to visit the magical land and stay at this wonderful looking hostel. 4 of the 11 friends had already decided they were going to this magical land before the other 7 so they had already had their hostel booked, so the other 7 booked their rooms all together as well. We all wanted to stay in the same place so that we could explore this magical land together.

Well on Friday night, a group of 6 of the friends set out their voyage to the magical land....the other 5 were going to set out in the morning. We had everything taken care of except calling the inn keeper to confirm our reservations. The group in that was leaving in the morning had called first and the inn keeper told them everything was fine and there was nothing to worry about. Then about 20 minutes later, we recieved a call from the other voyagers. They had said the Inn keeper told them that a pipe broke at the hostel and that they were being moved to another hostel..but they should worry b/c it was just as good as Happy Days and also the group that was leaving in the morning would also be moved w/ the other group. So the other 5 called the Inn keeper to make sure we were being moved as well but the stupid Inn Keeper told us that we were going to be staying at Happy Days and NOT moving with the other group, every thing turned out fine...THE END.....

...I WISH...

Me, Ashley, Jen, Ashleigh and Steph did end up staying at Happy Days Hostel..it wasn't to bad actually. It was different and at first I was alittle worried about staying in this hostel but it ended up not being to bad. The other group had had two girls who were booked on our reservation but they ended up getting moved with the other group...

Now i bet you are wondering well what happened to the othe group. Well the got moved to the crappiest place ever they said. They had no hot water, there weren't enough blankets or pillows for all of them. A man had pulled a pillow from a cabnet w/ chemicals in it and gave someone a table cloth for a blanket. They ended up leaving that hostel and demanding a refund...the girls who were supposed to be on our reservation also got a full refund from happy days...they ended up staying in a hotel on sunday night.

We didn't really see much of each other the other group but some how we ended up seeing them at the Trevi Fountain and the Coliseum...how that happens in Rome I have no idea but I'm glad it did and then we hung out w/ them on Sun Night. I felt soo bad for them and wish everything would have worked out for them, but you just have to take it how it is and try and make the best of it which they tried to do.

This is Me and Jen in front of the Trevi Fountain. They say if you
toss a coin into the fountain that you will someday return to Rome.


Here is the Coliseum! If you have seen the movie Gladiator, this is where
it is taken place at. It was amazing to see something like this!



This was Monday at the train station, the day we left and I
just had to leave my mark in Rome!



This was a castel that we kinda found. It was cool walking around
it but it was closed so we didn't get to go inside.



The Vatican City! Once again a beautiful place to see, but i
had wish I had seen the Pope, that would have been something
I would have never forgotten! I don't think I'll forget any of this!


We went out to a bar in Rome after meeting up with the other group.
Me and Emily, another girl from Iowa, made up Team Iowa for
beer pong, and yes we beat the guys in our Camp A group!
It was a close game, but as usual, guys couldn't handle the
preasure :)



This was a man at the Spanish Steps. There are so many men
selling roses all over Italy. Well he came up and decided I was
his hunny and insisted on a pic w/ me. When he pulled me closer I
knew he was going to give me a kiss, but I didn't know he was going for
my lips...good thing I turned my head real fast. After that he followed
us down the steps, calling after "his hunny" the whole way.
A Valentines Day Miracle....I Guess



On the Spanish Steps on Valentines Day. Another guy had came
up to us and gave us these roses and then tried to get us to pay
for them...we just threw them back at him...after he took our pics
w/ them ;)


One night Me, Steph and Ashely decided to go to the Coliseum at night.
I was soo pretty and we had a fun photo shoot!
